Liquid external dermatological drugs

The accessibility of skin diseases to local treatment has allowed for the development of a number of preparations and methods of their

application to diseased skin. Extemporaneous prescription is still very popular with a good tradition even at present when numerous

dermatological drugs manufactured pharmaceutically are available.

Particular types of vehicles and the drugs contained in them will be dealt with in several parts. Their effect, indications, and prescriptions

still used will be described in each chapter. At times, unfortunately, extemporaneous drugs are neglected since a readymade drug

is immediately available at a pharmacy, which is quicker but not always cheaper.
