The article deals with aspects of care of a child’s skin from the perspective of recent knowledge on the epidermal barrier and its function

altered by various external factors (water, detergents, weather effects) and explores options for preventing skin damage and preserving

and/or supporting complete functioning of the epidermal barrier.
