Chilblain lupus is a rare variant of chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus. It most frequently manifests in the form of erythematous and
livid plaques and nodules on acral parts of the body, provoked by cold. The diagnosis is based on a thorough history and histological
examination. The treatment mainly involves lifestyle measures: prevention of getting cold and photoprotection; systemic drugs used
include antimalarials, corticosteroids or sulfones.
