Systemic autoimmune diseases of the connective tissue affect a number of organ systems. These diseases frequently manifest themselves
in the skin and its adnexa. This paper provides a brief overview of the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and basic principles of the treatment
of these diseases with an emphasis placed on skin conditions.
