Contemporary valid legislative standards and their application in professional practice)

The maintainance of good function and condition as well as of aestetical appearance of skin represents a common and permanent aim

of dermatologists and cosmetics. The modern methods of dermatological topical treatment makes not only therapeutic effect but also

synchroneous modification of an aestetic appearance of the skin surface. From cosmetic point of wiew it is well known, that the positive

interpersonals “signals” is able to emit only a healthy skin. Dermatology uses topical preparations s. c. “PHARMACEUTICALS” for dermatological



treatment: Cosmetology uses an own assortement of cosmetic preparations s. c. “COSMETICS.” (This article does not deal with

the category of dermatological and cosmetological methods disturbing the integrity of the skin structures in corrective dermatology

and cosmetology). Recently a new category of European Standard – “Medical devices for human subjects” arises, which represents some

remedies suitable as auxilliary remedies in treatment or rehabilitation of some skin diseases. This European Standard shall be given the

status of a national Standard by August 2011.
