Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory hyperproliferative disease of the skin, scalp, nails and joints. It belongs to a group of papulosquamosus
skin disorders and is presented by a variety of clinical presentations. Basic treatment is a local therapy. Another treatment option is
a phototherapy, first of all PUVA and 311 nm methods. Systemic treatment is reserved for severe cases refractery to standard local therapy
and phototherapy and for inicially very severy cases. There are three therapeutics for first line of systemic treatment: acitretin, cyclosporin
A and methotrexat. The second line systemic medicaments are biologics; adalimumab, etanercept, infliximab and ustekinumab
are registered by now. Many completely new therapeutics are developed and proved. Except the treatment a follow-up of a good way
of living, in some cases even a psychotherapy are needed.
