Acne tetrada is a syndrom consisting of acne conglobata, hidradenitis suppurativa, perifolliculitis capitis abscedens et suffodiens and
sinus pilonidalis. The conventional systemic therapy includes antibiotics, retinoids, imunosupressive therapy, peroral antidiabetics,
sulphons, surgical methods and in women hormonal therapy. “Biological era“ reveals new methods of treatment. Besides psoriasis gets
the harsh forms of acne to the point of interest of biological treatment nowadays. Acne is imunologically mediated desase with incerased
levels of tumor necrosis factor alfa (TNF-α). Positive effect of therapy using anti TNF-α drugs (adalimumab, etanercept, infliximab) can
be asumed. But in this indication the therapy is still in the phase of clinical trials, so we call it as “off-label“ treatment.
