Treatment of natural healing resources (balneotherapy) is a centuries-proven, effective and safe treatment method. From a historical
perspective, it is considered as the building blocks of clinical medicine. Mineral water is defined by mineralization, chemical composition,
pH, temperature at seepage, isotonic and bacteriological purity which determine their use in specific clinical units. In dermatology,
we use mainly anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anti-parasitic, antipruritic, keratolytic, moisturizing and vasodilatory effects of mineral
water. It is necessary to follow the minimum of applications to persuasive effect of spa treatment. With the right frequency and duration
of each application of mineral water can induce effective repair of epidermal skin barrier, promote differentiation of keratinocytes
and significantly accelerate the treatment of certain skin diseases. Subsequent application of dermo-cosmetic products containing
mineral water leads to a prolongation of the treatment effect and the stabilization of epidermal homeostasis.
