A scar - scar - myths and facts

In the context of increasing attention that is payed to the appearance of the scars following surgery in the last years, the types of pathological

scars are discussed. The possibilities of preventive measures influencing the resulting scar are critically evaluated. The contemporary

therapeutic methods in hypertrophic scars, keloids and atrophic scars are summerized.
