Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic relapsing papulosquamous disorder affecting in particular form a large number of the population. Disease may occur at any age and affects sebum-rich areas, the most common area is the scalp (dandruff). Etiopathogenetically Malassezia yeasts play main role in dermatitis seborrhoica (SD). Dermatitis seborrhoica is not usually a serious disease, but may reduce quality of life. Diagnosis is based primarily on the clinical picture and histology examination, but specially in the area of scalp can SD imitate psoriasis. There is dermatoscopic noninvasive examination, witch can be helpful for the differential diagnosis psoriasis and SD. The therapy is based primarily on the application of antifungal extern.
