Czech version of the questionnaire Wound-QoL

Chronic wounds, so called non-healing wounds, can be and often are actually unpleasant experience in the lives of many patients.The existence of non-healing wound means significant problem and the deterioration of the quality of life for the patientand his family. Prevention of wound formation and related complications is important. If there is an existing wound already, itis important to diagnose it correctly and as soon as possible and also to set an effective therapeutic procedure in an individualmaner according patient needs. Specific standardized questionnaire Wound-QoL was created in 2014 to assess the quality of lifeof patients with chronic / non-healing wound by authors from Germany. The assessment tool for researches and daily practiceis recieved by the translation to the Czech language and the test of psychometric qualities. The article describes the translationof the questionnaire into the Czech language, which was carried out according to the instructions of the original authors andapplicable standards in this area (double blind translation) and approved by authors. Another phase of the research (verificationof validity, reliability and sensitivity of instruments) is processing nowadays.
