Creation of efflorescences in a transgender woman

MUDr. Jindřiška Nevrlá
Dermatovenerologické oddělení Vojenské nemocnice Olomouc

Thanks to hormonal therapy and unique surgical conversion, the number of treated transsexual patients is gradually increasing. Gender dysphoria or transgenderism can be characterized as a feeling of subjectively perceived discomfort associated with a disagreement between the gender identity and biological sex. Compared to other diagnoses, there is only a fraction of transsexuals, but even these people can visit a dermatovenerologic clinic with their diseases. The case report describes generalized skin manifestations in an 18-years-old patient in the initial phase of hormonal therapy.

Keywords: hormonal replacement therapy, transgender, transsexuality, erythema annulare centrifugum, estrogen.
