Atopic eczema (AE) is a chronic, inflammatory skin disorder. In spite of intensive investigations, the causes of AE remain uncelar, but are likely to be multifactorial in nature. Among various measures of AE managment skin hydration, which improves barrier function and relieve itchiness, may be helpful to reduce the need for topical steroid use and therefore it should be used as a basic treatment. Avoiding aggravating factors is also a basic treatment of AE. Standard medical treatment with a pharmacologic approach may be necessary if basic treatment fails to control symptoms sufficiently. Recently, more attention is given to proactive treatment regimen...

II. part of a non-interventional clinical trial eveluating efficacy of adapalene monotherapy in patients with Acne vulgaris This work, which is the following second part to the non-interventional clinical study’ results on monotherapy efficacy by adapalene in patients with acne vulgaris, investigates the adherence and other factors influencing topical treatment. Medication adherence assessment was based on the modified Morisky scale (MMAS-4) and measured by consumption testing in two-month treatment period. Results pointed to medium adherence, which overall adherence rate increased from 69,9% to 74,5%. This finding corresponds with significantly...

Scabies is epidemic ectoparasitosis caused by human parasite Sarcoptes scabiei, var. hominis. The reservoir of a contagion is the man. In childhood age we can find this disease very frequently. Diagnostics is based on positive night pruritus, clinical picture and demonstration of Sarcoptes scabiei in skin of ill person. The method of the first alternative at children there is permethrin and sulphur. Scabies is subordinated to the obligatory epidemiologic announcement....

Granulomatous rosacea is a rare form of rosacea. It is characterized by numerous brown-red papules or little nodules on a diffusely reddened, thickened skin localized mostly on the face. Epitheloid granulomas of the noncaseating type with foreign-body type giant cells are the histopathological equivalent of these lesions. Multifactorial etiology has been suggested. The disease requires special care, treatment with oral antibiotics or isotretinoin is necessary in most cases. A case of granulomatous rosacea is presented. A 44-year-old woman suffered from red papules on the forehead and the left cheek. A therapy using peroral isotretinoin had a positive...

In the article is summarized the rise of the pigmentation, is distribution and solution by laser. When the laser therapy is recommended for pigment spots, first it is important to have the right diagnosis, which we can check by biopsy examination followed by histopathological verification (result of histopathological examination), if neccesary. For the therapy of pigmented lesions we mostly use Q-S (switched) lasers, which work on principle of selective phototermolysis and cause photodysruption of melanin or pigment.

Sézary syndrome (SS) is a rare, but agressive variant of T-cell lymphoma. It is characterised by: erytrodermy, generalised lymfadenopathy, presence of Sézary cells in periferal blood (more than 1 000/mm3). Medical care of patient with SS is always multidisciplenary, including hematooncologists. Despite SS primary cutaneous CD 30+ lymfoproliferative deseases are indolent and are the second most common type of cutaneous T-cell lymhomas (CTCL). This group of CTCL includes primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell CD30+ T-cell lymphoma (C- ALCL) a lymphomatoid papulosis (LyP). Despite its benign course all the patients should be follwed-up lifelong, becaues...
